Why tallow

Beef tallow is rendered beef fat, and people put it on their skin for a very long time before anyone thought to sell them a lotion. The reason it works is not complicated. The fatty acid profile of tallow is close to the oils your own skin produces, so it goes on thin and soaks in instead of sitting on the surface. It naturally carries the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. There is no water in it, which means there is nothing to preserve, which means there is nothing else to put in the jar.

Most of what sells as moisturizer is water and oil held together with emulsifiers, thickened, perfumed and preserved. It takes a long ingredient list to build that. Ours takes five ingredients: grass-fed and finished beef tallow, organic olive oil, organic jojoba oil, and two organic essential oils for the scent. That is the whole formula. Where it is made

Our creams are manufactured in the United States by a licensed cosmetics facility and shipped from a fulfillment center in the US. We are a small operation and we do not pretend otherwise. What we control is the formula, the label, and what happens when you email us.

What we will not say

Tallow cream is a cosmetic. It moisturizes skin and it makes dry skin look and feel better. It is not a drug and it does not treat anything. Any brand telling you a jar of fat will cure a medical condition is selling you something other than skincare. If you have a skin problem, see a doctor. If you have dry skin, we can help.
